Estyn
Llanfaes Primary School was congratulated by Powys County Council after receiving an outstanding Estyn inspection in March 2025. Inspectors praised our school for creating a nurturing environment where pupils feel safe, respected and eager to learn, recognising the strong sense of community and the high-quality experiences provided for all learners.
The report, published on Friday 30 May 2025, also includes a special ‘spotlight’ section highlighting best practice within our school. It celebrates how we have created a dynamic learning environment that encourages independence, curiosity and a love of learning, particularly among our youngest pupils. We are incredibly proud of this recognition and of the hard work of our pupils, staff and wider school community.
It also highlights the school’s success in developing pupils’ communication, mathematical, and digital skills, specifically acknowledging the school’s inclusive approach, particularly in supporting pupils with additional learning needs.
