Admissions

Thank you for considering our school for your child. We are always pleased to welcome new families and encourage prospective parents and carers to visit us to learn more about our school community.

Reception Admissions

Children in Wales start Reception in the September following their fourth birthday.

All admissions to our school are managed by Powys County Council in line with the Welsh Government’s School Admissions Code.

Parents and carers must apply for a school place through Powys County Council’s online admissions system. The website includes important information about:

  • Admission arrangements

  • Oversubscription criteria

It is important that applications are submitted by the published closing date.

Nursery Admissions – Camau Bach

Nursery admissions may be managed directly by the school. Please contact the school office for information about Nursery places, eligibility and application procedures.

Please note that attending Nursery does not automatically guarantee a place in Reception. A separate application must be made through Powys County Council.

In-Year Transfers

If you are moving into the area or would like your child to transfer schools during the academic year, this is known as an in-year admission.

Applications for in-year transfers are also managed by Powys County Council. Please visit their website for guidance on how to apply.

Visiting Our School

We warmly welcome visits from prospective parents and carers. This gives you the opportunity to meet our staff, see the school in action and ask any questions you may have.
